A huge congratulations to our Warriors that competed in today’s chess competition at Rayburn Elementary! They did great!
Elementary JV Division
Jeremy Lopez- 4th place, 4 way tie for 2nd place - after consdering opponent rating and difficulty, he ended up in 4th out of 31 students. Finished 4-1
Elementary Intermediate Division
Juan Rodriguez- Finished 17 out of 38 students. Finished 2.5-2
Elementary Novice Division
Joshua Gomez- Finished 15th out of 36 students. Finished 2.5-2
Primary Novice Division
Luna Padilla- Finished 10th out of 36 students Finished 3-1 out of 5 matches.
Dante Cavazos- Finished 20th out of 36 students. Finished 2-3, also it was his first tournament.

All staff will report at their regular time.
All schools will be open at regular times in case parents need to drop off their children earlier.
Buses will pick up students one hour later from their regular bus stop.
Breakfast will be provided to students.

Today our Battle of the Books Jr. team and elementary teams competed at the McAllen ISD District Competition at Nikki Rowe High School. Our students read, studied and represented our campus with pride. Wilson’s Jr. Team took 1st place overall and will be advancing to Regional Competition. Congrats to both our teams for representing our campus with their Warrior Spirit! ❤️💛📚
